You don't need a 'service' to tell you which teams are a good wager. You have your very own methods and simply want the detailed NFL game data and key team stats required to employ them effectively. Does this sound like you?

Luckily, Armchair Analysis.com provides enough NFL team stats to keep even the most nerdish spread handicapper/researcher busy for 12 months of the year.

Subscribers receive access to not just one, but two separate Excel spreadsheets that deliver hundreds of different statistics not found in your basic box score, or anywhere else online for that matter.

The 1st of these is the Pre-Game database, which contains 480 different statistics, situational percentages and team ratings calculated prior to each of the 3618 NFL games played since 1994.

It's a detailed snap-shot of the moment in time before each game, revealing a team's tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses in comparison with their upcoming opponent from that particular week. For those that like to handicap games based on historical results: this information is for you.

The Post-Game database is the platform on which more advanced stats (such as those found in the Pre-Game version) can be built and it provides a comprehensive 'box-score' of 157 different variables for every single game played since 2001, with many of these stats extending all the way back to 1994.

Yards and attempts are provided for 39 different situations along with a break-down of penalties into 7 different categories. Numerous special teams statistics are also tracked along with an analysis of which defenders are making tackles and on what types of plays.

And it doesn't stop there: The Post-Game database also includes an additional 7 variables concerning game-time weather conditions, such as wind strength and humidity, along with details on the playing field itself.

If you are looking to create some of your own team ratings or simply want to learn more about the aspects of team play that contribute to both straight-up, and spread results, then this database will be of great interest to you.

Both are updated every Tuesday evening during the regular season with data from the previous week's games. For a small sample of this valuable information, please click on the links at the top of this page.

Looking for even more data? Be sure to visit the NFL Play by Play Database page where you can gain access to 340,000+ NFL plays that have over 130 variables catalogued per line. It's the most complete and accurate NFL play by play database currently available.
